Crestwood Lake and Park:
Allendale, NJ

by | Jun 6, 2018 | 0 comments

As I drove down West Crescent Avenue in Allendale, NJ, I noticed a big green area with a lake on my navigation system. Curious, I turned into the parking lot of a park, marked by a sign which was not very noticeable from the street.

I was amazed to see a hopping lake with people swimming and enjoying the beach-like surroundings with picnic tables and a volleyball net. Swimming is only for Allendale residents and their guests. Off to the side is a great fenced-in playground with lots of enjoyable activities. The playground is open to the public and the Lake Grounds can be enjoyed by all during non-swim hours.

That evening I returned with my children after swim hours. They mostly played in the playground but also enjoyed the beach sand surrounding the lake.
