About an hour’s drive from Krakow in the Zbylitowska Góra neighborhood just outside the Tarnow is one of the saddest monuments of the Holocaust, a monument marking the mass grave of 800 innocent Jewish children shot to their deaths by the Nazi beasts just for the “crime” of being Jewish.
There are two monuments across from each other marking the deaths of the children. There is a gated area around the mass grave of the Jewish children marked by a gravestone with inscriptions in Hebrew, Yiddish and Polish to memorialize the children.
Across the path atop a small hill is a monument commemorating the Polish children who were killed during the war.
