McLaughlin Falls:
Mendon, VT

I read online about McLaughlin Falls. It seemed like a nice quiet destination with a beautiful waterfall, more off the beaten track. I decided to check it out. We drove up the gravelly Wheelerville Road, wondering if we were in the correct place. We pulled over at the side of the street where our navigation indicated the waterfall lay. As we stepped out of the car we heard the sounds of the rushing water. We were about to go into the woods to the waterfall when we noticed signs stating that it is private property. We weren’t sure if the signs were there to keep people away or just to make sure people are aware and don’t take advantage.  We just walked a few feet and had a glimpse of the waterfall. What we were able to see looked nice, but we did not want to overstay our welcome and climb down to the water.
