Prospect Mountain, located in the foothills of the Adirondacks, is a popular spot for visitors. The 100 mile view from the top is superb, with panoramic views of Lake George and the surrounding areas. There are picnic tables on the summit. It is a great place to enjoy lunch or supper.
The 5.5 mile mountain can be accessed through the road off of Route 9 up, there are three breathtaking scenic overlooks on the way up. The mountain can also be hiked up (there’s no fee for hikers). The footpath is not located near the road up. The hiking paths are well marked. It is a 4 mile hike round trip.
