Riverside Park:
New York, NY

Whenever I drive into New York City I always look at the parks alongside the West Side Highway and wish I can stop but I usually don’t have the time. Riverside Park is at the very beginning of the city just over the George Washington Bridge. I decided to take a trip to Riverside Park on an unusually warm day in the winter. It is a pleasure not to be stuck in city traffic and there are several free parking lots on site.

The park along the Hudson River is 4 miles long starting at 72nd Street and reaches all the way until 158th Street. There are walking and bike paths along the river. There are playgrounds, a skate park and sports fields. The views of the Hudson River are glorious. There are and sprinklers in the Neufeld Playground in the summers. The kids love running through and getting soaked.

The park was really enjoyable. I was not disappointed.
