The Kartrite Resort and Indoor Waterpark, located in Monticello, is a new and up to date resort, boasting New York’s largest indoor waterpark. The décor in the resort is brightly colored and has a fun feel. The brand new resort is just three years old and everything feels new and sparkling. There are no painted-over water stains in the bathroom as I often notice at other hotels. The lobby with its iconic K, the Kartrite symbol, has so many places to sit and relax in the large sunlit room. 

The Resort is a family-friendly place with options of larger suites to accommodate families. There are many activities on site to keep visitors entertained.

The waterpark is by far the most exciting attraction. There are a variety of slides with the large Nor’easter slide taking the four person tube all the up a steep wall before sliding down. The Lazy River meanders through the park, the Flowrider offers a chance to try surfing. There are specific areas for small children to enjoy. The Later Gator Crossing is a stepping stone activity over the water near the Cannon Ballers basketball hoops. My favorite, though, is the heated outdoor pool. We were enjoying the pool while snow covered the ground around us.

In addition to the water park there is also an indoor adventure center with many attractions. There is a plethora of arcade games for every age and level. There is mini bowling, a virtual reality adventure, a 3D ride, a laser lag game, the Skyscraper climbing walls, and the Carabiner Ropes Course. The attractions are open to outside visitors as well as hotel guests.

During the summertime there are many hiking trails on site to explore.

The Kartrite Resort has so many ways to keep guests entertained and happy.
