I was completely blown away by Holland Ridge Farm. I could not believe that such a replica of Dutch flower fields and traditions were located so close to home. When Holland Ridge advertises: “Don’t fly to Holland, drive to Holland!” they have a good point! This family-owned farm was the dream of the Jansen family for sixty years until they actually were able to bring the dream to fruition. Holland Ridge is as close to the genuine Dutch experience as you can get.
During the spring season the fields at Holland Ridge are painted in vivid color with over 8 million tulips and other seasonal flowers. The rolling fields of color are breathtaking! Visitors can pick flowers and pay per stem.
Holland Ridge is an excellent destination for photographs. The over 100-foot genuine windmill, constructed on site, adds a beautiful Dutch flavor to the farm.
Included in the farm admission is a tractor ride which can be used to go from one area to another or just for fun. There are two areas with animals and a petting zoo on site, a small play area with a corn pit, a play tractor and swings, and a variety of food truck selling Dutch delicacies.
During the summertime Holland Ridge Farm is closed while they prepare for the Sunflower Fall Festival. The fields are full of row upon row of tall yellow sunflowers and other fall flowers. Visitors can pick sunflowers (pay per stem) and enjoy the other activities on site.
Holland Ridge Farm now hosts a Winter Wonderland lighting up the farm with millions of lights.
