My kids are obsessed with ziplines. Wherever we vacation, I look out for great zipline tours. While planning our trip to Seattle, the nearby National Parks and the surrounding areas, Leavenworth Ziplines caught my eye. Located right on the outskirts of the cute Bavarian style town, on the beautiful grounds of the Mountain Springs Lodge, Leavenworth Ziplines offers a great scenic zipline tour.
When we arrived at the Mountain Springs Lodge to check in for our zipline tours we couldn’t help but take in the picturesque setting with the fish pond and bright colored flowers everywhere.
We checked in upon arrival and enjoyed the outdoors until it was time for us to meet for the tour. The friendly and professional guides introduced themselves and we headed into the jeep which the guide drove the few minutes to the start of the course. The guides helped us each into our harnesses and offered us helmets that were decorated with a name and particular character (such as Shrek, Donkey, Elvis and more). The guides then called us by our helmet names-definitely easier for them then remembering everyone’s names: )
The guides outlined the safety protocols and gave us clear instructions. They led us to the first of the five platforms where we took flight to the next platform. The guides were extremely encouraging and helped anyone who was afraid conquer their fears. The ziplines were lots of fun to ride. They took us over the Beaver Creek Valley with magnificent views of the surrounding mountains. Each zipline was of considerable length with the longest one ¼ mile long. We loved every minute of flying through the trees and were disappointed when the tour came to an end.
The family members who did not join the tour were able to watch from below. And walk along a path and follow our route. This was really nice for the young children.
