We chose Seattle as our destination this summer due to the three magnificent National Parks each within a three hour drive from Seattle. It would have be more practical to turn the trip into a road trip and stay closer to each of the parks instead of travelling back and forth but we chose to stay in Seattle so that we were in a location that has minyan.
Seattle itself is located by the water and has many pretty places to visit in town. We enjoyed some nice parks, local attractions, and the historic Pikes Market.
There are a number of Chabad shuls in Washington State, and especially in Seattle, but not all of them have minyan both during the week and on Shabbos. The Kollel in the Seward Park neighborhood has minyan all week but we were unable to find good accommodations for our family in that neighborhood. We ended up staying in walking distance of the Shaarei Tefillah Lubavitch Shul which is not far from the University District. The Rav and community members were very welcoming.
The QFC Supermarket at University Village sells kosher food including baked goods including Chalav Yisroel milk. They also have a small takeout that is open limited hours.
There is also a comprehensive website of kosher options in Seattle: https://seattlevaad.org/kosher-portfolio/
