We spent a fun afternoon biking on the Whistler Valley Trail. We rented bikes at the location closest to where we were staying. The helpful and friendly staff members helped us find a bike that was comfortable for each us including a trailer for a little kid that connected to one of the bikes.

Once we were set up with all the different size bikes and helmets, we got a map of the Valley Trail and decided to take the route to Lost Lake based on the amount of time we had.

We biked a few minutes to the entrance to the wooded area. We enjoyed the shady serene path which led us to the Lost Lake Trail.

We followed the Lost Lake Trail to Lost Lake Loop. The Loop circles the lake and offers magnificent views of the picturesque Lost Lake. There were many people swimming in the lake both at the beach and on the swimming docks. 

We did not complete the loop since part of it was closed due to Toad Migration (mini toadlets cross from the water to the forest and they can get run over if people walk/bike on their route). We stopped at a creek right near the lake for a picnic lunch. We got to see many of the toadlets near the creek.

We took another area of the Lost Lake Trail back toward the village. As we approached the Lost Lake PassivHaus at the Lost Lake Trailhead a black bear crossed in front of us and proceeded to eat berries off the tree in front of the building! It was fascinating to watch the bear (from a safe distance) until it retreated into the woods behind the building.)

The PassivHaus (Sports Equipment Rental Center) has public bathrooms and water refill stations. After taking care of our needs we continued on the Valley Trail alongside the rushing Fitzsimmons Creak with the white-looking glacial water. We passed over picturesque bridges which lead to the Village where we returned our bikes exhausted and elated from the fun and scenic bike ride.
