Colorado Springs:
Colorado

Colorado Springs is a great family-friendly destination. In addition to beautiful mountains in the area, especially Pikes Peak, there are plenty of other attractions which children can enjoy, as not all children like hiking.

Some of the phenomenal attractions we visited were Pike’s Peak, Broadmoor Seven Falls, Garden of Gods, Manitou Springs and we enjoyed an extraordinary stay at the Broadmoor Hotel. We did not manage to get to the Cheyenne Zoo and Cave of the Winds Mountain although we wanted to. Colorado Springs is also only an hour away from the amazing Royal Gorge and an hour and a half hours away from Denver.

At first when planning our Colorado trip I planned one week in Denver and one week in Vail because they both have minyan in the summer. Later when I was researching the attractions we wanted to visit I realized that Vail as beautiful as it is, it is a ski destination and great for lots of R&R.  I definitely wanted to do more than just relax in the mountains. I wanted to include Colorado Springs in our itinerary. I found out that there is a Chabad Center in Colorado Spring but they usually do not have minyan. This past summer with the tremendous amount of visitors (probably due to being considerably safe to travel to during the Covid19 pandemic) to Colorado there was also minyan in Colorado Springs in August. Kosher meals can be ordered from the local Chabad.

I really loved Colorado Springs. There were so many really beautiful places to visit in the area.
