Hobbyhouse was always our favorite local Monsey indoor activity, with so many options for using your creativity and going home with a project which you’ve painted.
Hobbyhouse, a homey ceramics and plaster studio, recently expanded and moved to their current location of 11 Main Street, right in the center of Monsey.
Plaster painting, the easiest and most basic option, entails choosing a plaster shape and painting it. The plaster projects can be taken home and enjoyed the same day. Ceramics also consist of painting your own shape or project but they need to be left to have the finishing glaze-coating done. They need to be picked up at a later date. Another enjoyable option is wood mosaics which can be painted or just created without painting. The mosaics can either be finished at the studio or finished at home with grout (supplies and instructions go home with you.)
Hobbyhouse is always expanding their options to make the experience bigger and better.
Expansion in the near future includes canvas painting with an option of having a picture you bring printed on a canvas to be painted. Glass projects will also be available soon.
Group events can be hosted in the Hobbyhouse facility, and in addition, they have the option of bringing the projects to the party.
