Leavenworth Adventure Park is right at the edge of town, no need to travel.
The Tumwater Twister, Washington’s first alpine coaster, was what drew us to Leavenworth Adventures. We loved every minute of our ride on the alpine coaster with 2,700 feet of track, a 234-foot vertical drop, three 360° spirals, and heights up to 35 feet. We were so glad we got the 2 ride tickets because everyone in our family from child to adult was ready to head right back up after our first fun and thrilling ride.
The coasters can reach the speed of 27 MPH! We could not get enough of the views of the beautiful surrounding mountains and the town as we were speeding down the mountain. (All devices used for filming on-ride must be securely attached to your person via chest, head, or foot harness for either the driver or passenger of the sled).
In order to ride the alpine coasters, riders must be at least 54 inches tall to ride alone. Passengers must be over 38 inches and at least 3 years old. Passengers must be accompanied by driver of 16 years or older.
In addition to the alpine coasters, Leavenworth Adventures also offers gemstone mining and a 27’ Alpine Ascent Climbing Wall with 4 lanes and 3 levels of difficulty.
Ludwig’s Den located on the 3rd floor of the building offers a full menu of food. While the Base Camp on the 1st floor sells refreshments. There is lots of outdoor seating in front of the building near the gemstone mining and climbing wall.
