Many people migrate to the Catskills during summer vacation. Loch Sheldrake is right in the middle of a series of small towns which host the vacationers. Loch Sheldrake Boat Rental offers a variety of boat rentals to enjoy a relaxing time on the smallish lake.

There are row boats, kayaks, paddle boats, motorized rafts and the famous picnic boats with a sun umbrella. The picnic boats can accommodate up to 8 people. They also have a motor and a table in the center. The Picnic Boats can be enjoyed in conjunction with a meal or snack purchased at the Boat Café which is in the same building as the boat rental office.

We like a motorized raft. It seats 4 people and has a relaxing and smooth ride. The motor capability is limited – it is not a speed boat. It is perfect for our needs and very enjoyable.

Sometimes large groups come from nearby camps. The rental place is really well stocked and is able to accommodate the large group.
