Matthiessen Park:
Irvington, NY

We loved Matthiessen Park. It is a waterfront park on the bank of the Hudson River with a walking path and benches along the shore with a small piece of sandy beach kayak access (some kayak owners rent the space to store their kayaks there). There are beautiful views of the river mountains and the Mario M. Cuomo Bridge and a lot of picnic tables on the grassy areas.

There is a large updated fenced-in playground. The playground has multiple climbing structures with exciting elements. There are interesting swings, a large sandbox and a xylophone that can be used to make music with benches within the fence.

No vehicles are allowed in the park. Parking is on the side of Bridge Street.
