Pre la Joux was often the spot we started our activities from. Only an eight-minute drive from where we stayed in Chatel (with buses going there from the town) it is the starting point of many chairlift routes. There is a whole network of chairlifts connecting one mountain to another. The chairlifts can be taken as far as to Avoriaz, Morzine and even to Champery in Switzerland.

The chairlifts from Prela Joux offer magnificent views of the mountains all around. Below there are often bikers speeding down the biking path and it is common to  hear cow bells ringing and then see cows grazing or relaxing on or near the hiking paths.

Pre la Joux has some of the most amazing BMX biking paths with curves and jumping elements. It is fascinating to watch the bikers practicing tricks on their way down the mountain or in the bike park near the parking lot.

Pre la Joux also has the Bobluge and Fun Bike course right near the parking lot.  The Pierre Longue chairlift begins at Pre la Joux and takes riders up to the Fantasticable Zipline.
