We went to visit friends in the Long Branch area at the end of June. The beach, just blocks away, beckoned.

We took the path adjacent to 787 Ocean Ave N which leads to the Takanassee Beach. There is a booth stationed at the end of the path where entrance fees are collected during swimming hours. The beach was not super crowded especially given the scorching temperature. There were chairs and umbrellas scattered around for visitors to use.

We enjoyed relaxing on the sand and cooling off a bit in the water.

When there is a lifeguard on duty, and swimming is permitted, there is a fee to use the area. After hours it is free to be at the beach.
