The Traveling Tykes Paddle Boat Rentals at Lake Carasaljo are down by the dock near the playground. They have a few different options for paddle boat. They have the traditional 4 seater paddle boats, a family pontoon which fits I think about 8 people and the specialty boats, the water trikes or swan boats which only have space for two but are fun based on the design of it. The water trikes are paddle boats designed like a big tricycle while the swan boats are swan looking paddle boats.
We decided to take a pontoon since we were quite a few people. I was afraid that it would take an extreme amount of energy and skill to move such a big boat just using pedals. I was pleasantly surprised to find that it wasn’t especially difficult or more tiring than other paddle boats.
The Pontoon was very comfortable. There were lots of seating space on the benches. There was also empty space in the center that made it easier to walk to switch places when the one peddling got tired. We enjoyed a scenic trip on the Carasaljo Lake before turning back to return the pontoon.

“601 North Lake Drive &, 2955 2nd Street”
2955 is a typo – there’s no such address. It can be 510 2nd Street – which is also right across.
It should read: 601 North Lake Drive (or 510 2nd Street)
Boating is across the street from these addresses (down hill to lake – past playground)
