We were so excited to see the 300 meter Staubbach Waterfall from the window of our room in the Inn we stayed at. We were told at the front desk that it is only a 5 minute walk. We settled into our room, ate the dinner we brought with us and headed out to see the waterfall up close. It was early evening and as it got dark bright lights and colored lights were shining on the waterfall so that visitors can continue to enjoy it. The visitors enjoyed it indeed. Many people walked over to see the waterfall even in the evening.

There is a viewing spot at the bottom of the waterfall where visitors can take in the view of the entire 300 meter waterfall. We also enjoyed a drink from the fountain of refreshing water coming straight from the waterfall.

For those who want to see it up close there is a paved path with railings leading up to the waterfall. There is a tunnel which goes underground and ends with steps leading up to a small porch right beside the waterfall. There is nothing like the spray of the mist coming from the waterfall. It is important to hold onto the railing and be careful not to slip on the wet pathways.

We really enjoyed this natural beauty and it was a special treat to be able to see it when all other attractions are closed.
