Located in the province of Savoie, Aixe Les Bains is a picturesque town in situated between two mountains. We stopped in Aixe Les Bains for a few days on our way to the Alps to visit family that was vacationing there. At the time we stayed at the Auberge de la baye kosher hotel. They currently only open their hotel for Sukkot and Passover as well as for groups in the winter. The hotel was rustic and had a quaint feel with an indoor pool and delicious meals were served.

The town has a vacation and relaxed feel. A walk in town and then around the magnificent lake, Lac du Bourget, was definitely the highlight. The scenic paths were beautiful, the lake a real crystal blue. There were lots of people there either enjoying the scenery or participating in a variety of water sports.

Aixe Les Bains can be accessed easily by train. We enjoyed the scenic train ride from Paris.
