Apenheul was all we imagined it to be plus more. This specialized zoo has many different types of apes, monkeys and gorillas. The most exciting part of the park is the area where monkeys mingle with people and there is a possibility of holding a monkey should it choose to climb on you. There is a gorilla show and an assortment of areas where you can observe monkeys at play.

There are also many different playground activities scattered throughout the park as well as a rock climbing wall and a carousel. This allows children to be stimulated throughout their visit. There are also some farm animals and a petting area for kids. Monkeys are fascinating!  Apenheul is a trip that is enjoyed by both young and old alike.
