Every now and then I get in the mood of a trip that offers beautiful views of nature without exertion… perhaps someplace nice to sit, or a pretty area to drive through. I enjoy driving on the Seven Lakes Drive in Harriman State Park or up the Palisades Parkway North. I also love the ride up to Perkins Memorial Drive. I recently discovered that if I continue on over the Bear Mountain Bridge there is a beautiful scenic route to drive and enjoy the views of Bear Mountains. The US 6 or Route 202 is a winding street with scenic views of the Hudson River and surrounding mountains. There is also a parking lot at the scenic overlook where you can leave the car, walk around and see the views while breathing in the fresh air. The scenic drive ends at the Annsville Creek adjacent to the Annsville (traffic)Circle.
