The Betty Ford Alpine Gardens is definitely worth a visit if you are in the Vail area. It is a serene garden of natural beauty with magnificent views of the mountains rising up just behind the park.
On our visit, after parking we walked along the soccer field and entered the garden at the North Garden entrance. We followed the paths which crossed over meandering streams. There were pretty flowers sprinkled throughout but the main focus was the waterfall with the two bridges cutting across. There are steps made of rocks also leading down to the bottom and the children’s garden near the museum and gift shop had a variety of many colorful flowers.
The playground adjacent both to the garden and the visitor’s center. It is a two story playground with a large climbing structure. There are also picnic tables nearby.
