We headed to Croton Gorge on a warm spring Sunday afternoon. Problem: So did many other people. We took a walk atop the bridge but did not go to the park below due to crowding. We left and looked for a smaller park nearby. That is when we came across Black Rock Park.
The park is located down the Croton River. It is a small park with the river as the main attraction. Parking is close to the water with just small areas of grass, there is a picnic table or two and an enclosed dog park. There is a path that runs along the dog park which ends right before a small waterfall that can be seen from the street when driving by.
