I wanted to take a walk with a friend in a pretty area late one summer day. I was not looking for mountains or for water; just a nice landscaped area with some pretty flowers. That was exactly what we found at Davis Johnson Park and Gardens at the corner of Engle Street and Westervelt Avenue. 

We were not aware that the park is actually spread on 7 acres and is a popular spot for wedding ceremonies. We just saw the winding paths, benches, grassy areas, trees, a gazebo and a patio with two lion figures perched on each side. 

We especially enjoyed the gated in rose garden, a beautifully landscaped garden with many varieties of roses and other flowers, trees and bushes. We enjoyed sitting in the garden until we had to leave.
