Myrtle Beach, SC

The magnificent 1.2 mile-long Oceanfront Boardwalk and Promenade runs along the ocean parallel with Ocean Blvd in Myrtle Beach. The boardwalk runs along the beach from the 14th Avenue Pier to the 2nd Avenue Pier. Within the 1.2 miles of the Boardwalk there are lots of attractions and enjoyable activities for visitors in addition to the beach. There is so much to do at the Boardwalk that you can practically spend days just there.

In the summer there are many festivals and events on the Boardwalk especially at Pyler Park where a makeshift stage is set up. The north section consists of the 14th Avenue Pier to about the Myrtle Beach SkyWheel. The mid-section contains many restaurants and arcades on the actual Boardwalk. Pyler Park is also part of this section. Across Ocean Blvd there are plenty of attractions including Ripley’s 5D Theater Ripley’s Odditorium, Ripley’s Haunted Adventure, Ripley’s Mirror Maze, Myrtle Beach Thrill Rides and more. The Southern side of the Boardwalk, which I did not get to, ends by the 2nd Avenue Pier.
