There are many lakes in the Lake Placid area with many options of boating. We stayed right near Mirror Lake so we chose to go boating on that beautiful crystal clear lake. There are lots of options of boat rentals including kayaks, paddle boats, pedal bikes and paddle boards.

My kids love kayaking so naturally that is the type of boating we chose. The lake was peaceful and serene. The boating was relaxing and enjoyable. The lake was not overcrowded. The boating there was more of a relaxed nature while other lakes in the area cater more to speed boating. It was an excellent start to our day. We all had a great time.
