Brooklands Park,
Suffern, NY

Whenever I drove on the I 287 North I would notice a beautiful lake and a small playground on the right side of the highway in the Suffern, NY area. I finally went to check out the area and was pleasantly surprised (although google maps sent me to the spot on the highway where the park is, as opposed to the actual park, so beware).

Brooklands Park boasts a baseball field, a basketball field a gated in regular playground and a separate toddler playground. The playground is adjacent to the Suffern Memorial Pool and beyond the pool is the pretty Lake Antrim with a few benches spread around it.

The other side of the baseball field has another parking area and a pedestrian bridge over the creek with a grassy area and many picnic tables scattered throughout. The grassy area runs alongside the babbling brook.

We enjoyed a picnic lunch by the picnic tables and then crossed the bridge to the playground for the little one to play at. There is a path behind the playground alongside the creek that leads to Lake Antrim.
