Canyon Lake is a magnificent man-made lake surrounded by cliffs and mountains dotted with beautiful cacti. In warmer weather the lake is a popular spot for swimming. There is a campground and boat launch area. There are recreation areas and overlooks at Canyon Lake. The Dollywood Steamboat Tours are offered throughout the year. During the warmer months the Canyon Lake Suntex Marina offers larger motor boat rentals. They offer Tritoons and Double decker boats with a slide which lands in the water.

We visited the lake in the winter and it was quite chilly. I’d love to visit again in warmer weather and take advantage of all that is available to do at the gorgeous lake.
