I didn’t remember Congers Lake being so beautiful and enjoyable. I hadn’t been there in many many years and just went for a visit recently. I was surprised to see how popular it is. We saw a nice amount of people walking around the lake on a regular Tuesday.
Interestingly, the 100 acre lake is situated between a few residential streets with a pathway surrounding it. A big part of it has a boardwalk as the path. There is a special beauty in that since you are walking over the water. When we were there, we spotted lots of fish and turtles in the water. There were also swans and other birds. The views were magnificent.
We parked by the playground. There is also a swimming pool, tennis court, handball courts, basketball fields and a picnic area with lots of tables and grilling stations.
