We wanted to stop somewhere for a picnic lunch before heading to the airport. We stopped at Cypress Point Park, just a few minutes away from the airport. We kept seeing airplanes flying low above our head just after taking off or preparing to land.

Cypress Point Park is a great all-around park. It features pretty walking trails, a volleyball court in the sand, a disc golf course, a playground with many activities and benches as well as picnic tables, some with grill stations and shelter roofs, placed strategically around the park.

There is also beach access at this park with beautiful views of the Tampa Bay. There is a self-serve Standup Paddleboard Rental Kiosk where paddleboard can be rented through an app on your phone.

Cypress Point is a great local park with lots to do.
