Darlington County Park:
Mahwah, NJ

Darlington County Park is well known for the three lakes on site. Swimming is permitted in two of the lakes between Memorial Day and Labor Day. These lakes have white sand areas around them. Fishing is permitted in the third lake all year round, with valid New Jersey license.

There is a picnic area with grilling allowed. It is advisable to bring to bring along a grill since there aren’t many. The playground and basketball court are near the swimming lake. The fishing lake has a walking path around it.

We visited before the swimming season in June this year. It seemed like the swimming lake was being cleaned and prepared for the season. Although we didn’t swim when we visited, we enjoyed the playground, picnic area and fishing lake.
