Finch Park has a nice big playground with one large play structure, a few additional smaller ones and an impressive amount of swings. One of the climbing structures is shaped as a pirate ship. There is also a train structure with a slide at the end that the little ones enjoy. Adjacent to the playground is a sand pit where children love to play. There are plenty of benches all around and even a picnic table or two within the playground area. While playing at the playground, the children kept running to the gate at the side to see the NJ Transit train that keeps passing. The park is only a 13 minute walk from the Ramsey station and can be combined with the excitement of a train ride.

Finch Park also has a large soccer field and a basketball court.

We visited Finch Park in the fall and enjoyed the colorful leaves scattered all around us.
