Galeries Lafayette on Boukevard Haussman is the place to go if you want to see a luxury department store. Entering the historic building with its lavish décor I couldn’t help but wonder who shops at such places. But apparently by looking around I saw that there are many people who do.

Galeries Lafayette is located in the heart of the city in the 9th arrondissement. If you are not a very serious shopper, strolling down the streets and window shopping offers a feel of the Parisian shopping hype.

The streets are full of people. There are vendors outside trying to attract the tourist’s attention. We couldn’t help but laugh when we noticed a police officer patrolling the streets on roller blades.
