Georgetown Lake:
Georgetown, CO

We passed the beautiful Georgetown Lake on the way from Denver to Vail. We made a U-turn and stopped by the crystal clear lake with rising mountains behind. The Georgetown Lake is a very popular fishing lake. When we arrived for our much needed break in our car ride we watched some men fishing. We opted to stay and watch the men fish and enjoy the views instead of walking around the lake. Boats are allowed on the lake but motorized boats are not allowed.

The Georgetown Lake is only a few minutes away from the Georgetown Outdoor Railroad. Although we did not have time to take a ride on the outdoor train the scenic ride seems to be very popular and enjoyed by the many visitors.
