H. Pierson Mapes Flat Rock Park:
Hillburn, NY

Pierson Mapes Flat Rock is an excellent quiet spot to enjoy nature, relax or have a peaceful picnic. The park is 1 acre in size although it does not seem that large when visiting. The entrance of the park leads to a humongous rock outcrop with the Ramapo River flowing alongside and on parts of it. This park is the best spot to access the Ramapo River with a canoe or kayak. The park is stocked annually with trout. It is a great fishing spot.
