High Falls is a 96-foot-high natural waterfall on the Genesee River right within the Brown’s Race historic and industrial area of Rochester. The surrounding renovated historic factories, mills and shops add to the authentic historic feel. The gorge and natural rock outcrops are fascinating to see.
High Falls River Park offers a great unobstructed view of the waterfall and scenic gorge from the terrace platform. There are walking and biking paths running through this oasis of green in the city. The park has many benches and cool lounge chairs for relaxing or tanning. The spread of green grass and flowers planted alongside the walkway add a pretty touch. There are also a few picnic tables and grill stations on the grassy expanse.
