We recently were in Southbury Connecticut for an event. Before we left the area we asked a local for a good park to visit nearby.
Hollow Park was just a few minutes away from where we were. It is a phenomenal park with activities for all ages.
There is a playground with many exciting elements such as a large climbing rope triangle and a zipline that is longer than any other one I’ve seen at playgrounds. There are also plenty of picnic tables on the grassy area near the playground some have grilling stations near them. A pavilion in the grassy field has many more picnic tables as well.
The basketball courts, soccer fields, baseball field, and sandy volleyball court offers opportunities for playing sports.
Behind the playground is the beautiful babbling Pomperaug river with walking trails alongside the water.
