I have a bit of an obsession with waterfront parks along the banks of the Hudson River. I enjoy the many parks offering beautiful views each with its own twist.
Long Dock Park in Beacon, NY is a nature park with pathways along the Hudson River. The park has picnic tables and benches along the way. There are many information boards with interesting tidbits and pictures about the area. Hudson River Expeditions offers kayak tours that leave from the park. The kayaks looked enticing but our visit was after they were closed for the season.
After enjoying a leisurely walk at Long Dock Park we drove down the road to the child friendly Toshi Seeger Riverfront Park. The park has a playground and a basketball court with a walking path surrounding the area. There are picnic tables and benches and of course a beautiful view of the Hudson River.
