60-Minute Boat Tour of Statue of Liberty for One, Two, or Four from Majestic Harbor Cruises

We wanted to see the Statue of Liberty up close but didn’t have enough time to actually visit her. We opted to take a boat tour that wouldn’t take up many of our limited hours in Manhattan. We chose the Statue of Liberty Sightseeing Cruise, a 60 minute narrated boat tour, with views including the Brooklyn Bridge, South Street Sea Port, Freedom Towers, Ellis Island, and the Statue of Liberty. There is both indoor and outdoor seating on the Motor Yacht, Majestic Princess. The tour can be enjoyed during all types of weather. The boat leaves the pier and heads to the Statue of Liberty, providing explanations of all the important sites on the way. Once it reaches the Statue of Liberty, the ferry idles there while everyone enjoys the close up view and takes photos. Then the boat turns around and returns to the point of departure.
The boat leaves from pier 36 in Manhattan. There aren’t great options for parking (we tried parking at the East River Bike Path Parking that came up on our navigation system but it doesn’t exist anymore) but street parking nearby is possible to find. Most people came with shuttle buses.
