Although I visited the White Plains location, each Muse location is very similar. Muse is a combination restaurant/bar and painting workshop store. There are currently 30 locations throughout the USA, mostly in the Northeast and Southeast Region, and more locations constantly being added.
No painting experience is necessary to join and enjoy a paint class. You can see which picture each class will be painting when booking online. Once you book a space in a class, you are provided with all the materials and instructions needed to paint a beautiful piece of art. If you come with a few friends or family members you get placed near each other at the same table.
The artist giving instruction on the stage explains all the equipment and shows everyone what to do, step by step. Our instructor, Mervis was entertaining and fun. There was an additional artist going around helping anyone that needed assistance. While painting, many people enjoy food and drinks from the restaurant and bar. It was an extremely fun and fulfilling two hours of creating our masterpiece. No matter the age and skill everyone enjoyed painting the same picture. Interestingly enough, no two paintings came out alike. Everyone had their own way of doing it and some people added additional details. The pictures posted are from our experience at the White Plains Muse Paintbar.
In addition to regular painting, Muse offers the lumify option where you can paint a picture of your pet based on a printout. Muse also offers the option of private parties in their party room.
