Tubing down a snowy hill in August is cool. The best part is that the temperatures are controlled – there weren’t any freezing winds to send us running from the hills to warm up. The temperature at Pigeon Forge Snow is kept at 60-70 degrees Fahrenheit, wearing a sweater is perfect. We didn’t have to worry about not having our winter gear-the boys went snow tubing with shorts!
Once we entered and got our entry bracelet we grabbed a tube and headed to the magic carpet and up the hill. We had so much fun flying down. It was an unreal experience; enjoying snow without freezing.
There is also an area with snow that is made to play with. Separate tickets are sold for snow play. The snow is made naturally with water, without any additives.
Pigeon Forge Snow is the first attraction of its kind in the country. Many people who do not have snow where they live will go to Pigeon Forge Snow to get the experience.
