This summer, when we arrived at the condo we’d rented in Vail, I was so happy to see we were located next door to Red Sandstone Park. As soon as we unpacked our car, we gathered our food for supper, and headed over to Red Sandstone Park for a picnic. The park is tucked away behind some trees on North Frontage Road. There is a wooden playground painted very colorfully. There is one main climbing structure with other smaller ones and swings as well. There are picnic tables and a grill in that area. There is also a volleyball court and grassy areas, part of the park, but separated from the playground by trees. The park is a typical community playground in Vail, designed beautifully. The Vail playgrounds are famous for their exciting designs. I found that an added bonus to this sweet park was the magnificent mountains rising up behind it.
