Samuel Nelkin County Park:
Wallington, NJ

The large picnic pavilion with multiple picnic tables, near the fenced in dog run, was the perfect places for a picnic supper with cousins. After dinner, the children enjoyed the playground activities and swings.  The park has a walking path that circles the park which includes the playground, tree lined area where the large gazebo is located, a lake with a sprinkler in the center, a baseball field, as well as basketball and tennis courts. Along the pathway, both near the lake and the playground, there are benches that can be used to relax on.

The park was quite populated on that warm Sunday afternoon in the spring. Even so, there was plenty of room to play in the playground. The children enjoyed themselves and then we walked along the path to enjoy the views of the lake. Fishing is allowed in the small lake by permit only.
