British Columbia Highway 99 also known as The Sea to Sky Highway is an 100-140 mile stretch of magnificent panoramic views of theHowe Sound and Coastal Mountains. The scenic highway runs from West Vancouver through Squamish, Whistler, Pemberton, and Lillooet. Driving from one end to the other takes about two hours.

We enjoyed the views of The Sea to Sky Highway when travelling between Vancouver and Whistler during our recent visit to the area. The breathtaking views along the way made the hour and a half drive pass really quickly.

Some of the popular places to stop along the way includes the Tantalus Lookout. A roadside lookout with breathtaking views of the Tantalus Mountain Range and the surrounding areas is located not far from Whistler.

Shannon Falls Provincial Park British Columbia’s third-tallest waterfall is located just south of Squamish.  The nearby Sea to Sky Gondola takes visitors up to a suspension bridge and panoramic viewing platforms.

The Squamish Canyon has elevated walkways through rainforests and cascading waterfalls.

Horseshoe Bay, closer to Vancouver offers ferry options to some of the nearby islands.

There are many additional pretty areas to stop and visit.  Really, just driving along the Howe Sound through the Fjords and Coastal Mountain Range offers incredible views.
