I’ve never seen anything like The SeaGlass Carousel. It sure is one of a kind. It is located in the Battery Conservatory (formerly Battery Park), in a low round building. It is a great attraction to visit, even in inclement weather.
The 30 fiberglass pastel colored fish are illuminated with LED lights. The music and water effect lighting compliments the theme. The SeaGlass does not have a traditional center pole, it has four separate turntables that turn within the larger circle. A ride on this carousel is enjoyable for all ages, it is definitely something special.
The Seaglass is located right near the entrance to the Staten Island Ferry, making it an excellent choice to combine the two activities. Since the ferry is free and the carousel is inexpensive, it is a great economical trip.
