Showboat Resort in Atlantic City is a hotel with many renovated rooms and so many activities on site that there is practically no need to leave (unless, of course, to go to the beach right outside.)

The hotel has a total 872 guest rooms and luxurious suites. When we visited recently, we stayed in a two-bedroom suite with a porch overlooking the ocean. The suite was spacious and comfortable and we enjoyed the views of the ocean from our room.

The Island Water Park is located within the hotel and has a retractable roof which makes it fun to visit during all seasons. There are a variety of waterslides both large and small. some slides have mats to go down on, some have tubes and some slides are without extra aids. There is also, a lazy river, Kids Cove, Flowrider Surfing, Basketball in the Adventure Pool and more.  In the Boardwalk area within the waterpark there are a number of restaurants and bars.

There are a number of additional dining options and bars outside the waterpark within the hotel.

The onsite gym is open 24 hours a day. There is a full-service spa on site as well.

The huge Lucky Snake Arcade, with tons of arcade games, indoor mini golf, roller skating, laser tag and the Raceway go karts are all located within the hotel.

Showboat Resort is an excellent destination catering to old and young and everyone in between.
