So many ice rinks are still closed to the public since their closing due to the COVID pandemic. We missed ice skating so I searched for an open rink, even one a little farther from home. Skylands Ice World was perfect. They have COVID precautions in place. All public skaters need to preregister online and they sell a limited amount of tickets.

When we visited the rink, it was snowing outside which added a wintry feel as we entered.  A face mask was required in the building. The rink is quite large and since there was only a very limited number of skaters allowed to register during each session, it made our visit even more enjoyable, since the rink really was practically empty; especially since at different times some of the skaters took breaks and were off the ice.

Skylands Ice World offers lessons and Hockey Practice. They have a Pro Shop on site and a café with tables in the lobby area.
