When I heard about Sleek eBikes rental at the new Gov Mario M. Cuomo Bridge, I knew that is what I’d like to do outdoors during a beautiful day in October. I always wanted to check out the majestic bridge with the beautiful

lookout points. The electric bikes took the experience to the next level. We were able to have the experience of biking on the bridge without tiring ourselves out (with eBikes you generally pedal but the power takes the difficulty out of it). We loved the breeze blowing at us while coasting along. The trees along the Hudson River have just begun changing colors. I can only imagine how beautiful the ride is once the trees change colors completely.

Sleek eBikes rental stand is on the Tarrytown side of the bridge. The staff was extremely helpful. On the Tarrytown side the views of the water are able to be seen almost immediately. On the other hand from the Rockland Landing the path runs alongside the highway for quite some time before the river views are available. I was glad I was on the bike because it was enjoyable even without the views.

The eBike rental is very well priced. It is only $15 for an hour or $50 for the whole day (If I’d take the bikes for the day I’d continue down alongside the Hudson River through Nyack). The good thing is that an hour rental is enough to go through the entire 3 mile bridge and back.

It is advisable to make an online reservation because there is no guarantee that they will have a bike available at any given time.
