Tampa Riverwalk:
Tampa, FL

The Tampa Riverwalk is a paved 2.6 mile walkway along the Hillsborough River. It is a great place to stroll or bike and enjoy the views of the beautiful city. We entered the Riverwalk at the Curtis Hixton Park with the ubiquitous electric scooters that can be rented all over the city. We were unaware that the scooters were not allowed to be ridden on the Riverwalk and sounded a beeping alarm when we entered. We turned back and returned the scooters to the regular sidewalk and took a walk on the path.

There are a variety of museums, hotels and parks bordering the Riverwalk. There are placards with the history and geography of the area. The Riverwalk is beautifully taken care of and has many benches and places to sit. It is lined at certain spots with majestic palm trees and other pretty flowers.

While we were walking we saw the occasional boat pass by. We were surprised when we noticed two dolphins making their way downstream. We got to see the dolphins come up for air every few feet.
